About us
The aim of MIPM Program is to develop intellectual property management professionals who can manage the intellectual creation cycle-from intellectual creation to the establishment of rights and utilization. The uniqueness of MIPM Program lies in the fact that students can obtain practical knowledge and expertise both on intellectual property management and business management.
Upon graduation, either MIPM (Master of Intellectual Property Management) degree, the first and only degree in Japan, or MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree, the global degree in the business field, is granted. The well-designed curriculum also offers a partial exemption merit in national examinations such as the patent attorney examination.

Three Professional Courses
Our program, the first of its kind in Japan, includes three professional courses.
Technology Intellectual Property Management Course
This course develops innovation management professionals who can integrate three strategies, business strategy, R&D strategy and IP strategy. This course also offers a good curriculum for business consultants who can fully utilize intellectual property for business innovation.
Brand Design and Contents Management Course
The only graduate school level course in Japan that offers specialized curriculum that covers knowledge and skills on brand management and related business topics.
Global Intellectual Property Management Course
This course aims to develop intellectual property management professional needed in the global society. This curriculum are also designed for students to learn for national license exams such as the patent attorney examination and Intellectual Property Management Skills Test.
